Hello anyone who still uses Livejournal.
This Sunday afternoon at 5:00 (August 3), I will be directing a choral concert at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Repertoire includes:
- Cantata 4 Christ lag in Todesbanden (J.S. Bach)
- Holy is the True Light (William Henry Harris)
- Ubi caritas (Maurice Duruflé)
- O quam gloriosum (Tomás Luis de Victoria)
Twelve singers from the Charlotte and Greensboro areas comprise my choir. Accompanist is Ron Nice - a fabulous organist and musician. If one finds the time or energy, I would love to see anyone I know there! This will be my choral conducting "debut." =)
Next Friday evening at 7:30 (August 8), I will be performing on a voice and organ recital with Derrick Goff, who will be organist and accompanist. This is also at St. Peter's. Repertoire for this consists of:
- Goddess of Night, King David, O My Deir Heart, and The Widow Bird (all by Herbert Howells)
- The Last Rose of Summer and Greensleeves (folksong arrangements by Benjamin Britten)
- Dido's Lament (Henry Purcell)
- Ave Maris Stella and Tantum Ergo (Jean Langlais)
- Psalm Prelude Set 1, No. 1; Psalm Prelude Set 2, No. 2; and Paean (Herbert Howells)
Once again, if anyone is interested in seeing/hearing this recital, it should be great. Would love to see anyone there! Following the recital, there will be a small reception in the gallery.

Hi to the one or two friends I have on here, this is so weird to write on lj, I feel like I am back in the tenth grade and vying for people's attention (through comments) by writing the most absurdly vague entries I can think of ha.
Isn't it funny how things change.
I am soaking wet... we just had a water balloon fight in front of CSC. What a trip.
I had my voice jury today, and tomorrow I have theory and diction exams, then I get to go home until Sunday, when I come back to take my musicology exam and piano jury on Monday. Then I am FREE!!
I am working at Reid's this summer, so I'll be there half the time and at St. P's the other half of the time chilling with mah g-p.
I've gotten weird hehe. See below.
